THE BEGINNING In 1792, Wiert Willemszoon Sikkens started his resin cookery in Groningen (the Netherlands). In 1928, the factory sets up a second mill, especially for cellulose lacquer. From that time on, Sikkens also produced paint for cars, furniture, trains, aircrafts and for numerous other industrial applications.
